Alberto, what do you do?
A simple question, isn’t it? Not for me.
Not because I’m unsure about what I do, but because my work does not fit neatly into a single label. Over the years, I have worked in cultural management, strategic communications, production, project management, consultancy, teaching, and creative practice. Not as disconnected stages, but as different parts of the same journey.
My profile is that of a generalist. That does not mean knowing a little about everything without depth; quite the opposite. It means having built substantial experience across different fields and learning how to connect them. A generalist is someone who sees the bigger picture, identifies patterns, understands contexts, and can make informed decisions when projects are complex, hybrid, or lack a single clear answer.
Over time, I have come to understand that my contribution is not about doing one very specific thing, but about bringing order, providing sound judgement, and helping cultural projects succeed: from idea to production, from structure to communication, from content to its long-term sustainability. From that point on, what truly matters are the ideas and the projects themselves.
